Draw notes in the MIDI editor

Step by step

1. 01

   On an instrument track, choose the Draw tool (8) and click to draw a one-bar part, or drag to draw a longer one.

   Double-click the part, or choose MIDI → MIDI Editor, to open it in the Editor tab.

   Set the velocity for new notes in the Vel field in the editor toolbar.

   Press 2 for the Draw tool and click to add notes; press 3 for Erase to remove them.

5. 05

   Press ↑ or ↓ to transpose selected notes by a semitone, or ⇧↑ and ⇧↓ by an octave.
