Edit notes from the keyboard

Step by step

1. 01

   Press V for the Select tool and click notes to select them, or press ⌘A to select all.

2. 02

   Press ↑ or ↓ to move the selection up or down a scale step, or ⇧↑ / ⇧↓ to move by an octave.

3. 03

   Press ← or → to move notes earlier or later by the display quantize.

4. 04

   Press R to respell selected notes between sharps and flats.

5. 05

   Press Delete or Backspace to remove selected notes; every edit updates the MIDI and plays back right away.
