Export and import MusicXML

Step by step

1. 01

   To export, choose File → Export → MusicXML… or click the export button in the Score toolbar.

   Save as .musicxml or compressed .mxl; from the File menu it exports the selected MIDI track, or every MIDI track with parts if none is selected.

   To import, move the playhead to the bar where the music should start.

4. 04

   Choose File → Import → MusicXML… or click the import button in the Score toolbar; the file's parts arrive as new tracks.
