Snap clips to the grid

Line clips up on grid lines as you move them, or quantize their starts afterwards.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Press J or click the snap button to turn on Snap to Grid.

  2. 02

    Zoom in or out to change the grid; it follows the zoom level.

  3. 03

    Move a clip and its start lands on a grid line.

  4. 04

    Select clips and choose Edit → Quantize Clips (Q) to move their starts to the nearest grid line.
