Enter notes with step input

Step by step

1. 01

   Open a MIDI part in the editor and turn on step input in the editor toolbar.

2. 02

   Play notes on a MIDI keyboard, click the on-screen keys, or type A W S E D F T G Y H U J K.

3. 03

   Each note lands at the step cursor, which advances by the grid.

4. 04

   Press Z or X to shift the octave down or up, and Backspace to step back.
