Find your way around the main window

Learn what each area of the window does and show, hide or resize panels to suit you.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Use the transport bar at the top for playback, record, cycle, metronome, tempo and time signature.

  2. 02

    Show or hide the Inspector with View → Inspector (⌥I) and the media browser with View → Media Browser (⌥B).

  3. 03

    Press ⌥L to show or hide the lower zone with its Mixer, Editor, Instrument and other tabs.

  4. 04

    Click the lower zone tab that is already showing to hide the lower zone.

  5. 05

    Drag the dividers between panels to resize them.
